Installations:
We install hardwood flooring such as North American red oak, white oak, maple, cherry, walnut, hickory and many others as well as West Coast natives including madrone, big leaf maple, Oregon white oak, California chestnut, N.W. Orchard walnut and Douglas fir. We also have a wide selection of exotic woods including bamboo, Brazilian cherry, tigerwood, spotted gum and many more. Many of our products are available F.S.C. certified and some are from reclaimed lumber. Widths are generally from 1 ½” to 7” but are available up to 12” wide. 

There are a variety of cuts available which include plain sawn and rift and quarter sawn, while the grading of lumber ranges from clear (free of knots) to character-rustic for a wide selection of flooring available.

Prefinished solid floors and engineered floors are available. We can also do custom parquets and border work as well as inlays. 

Sanding: 
We have the latest and best dust containment system available which is a great feature when you are living in your home and don’t want to be inconvenienced with dust. Our dust system removes 95% of the dust so clean-up is minimal for you. Our company has the top of the line in sanding equipment and we keep our machines in top running condition so our mechanics can produce a beautiful floor every time. We can also distress floors for a rustic look.

Staining:
Stains can be used if you are interested in a different shade to better suit your decor. We use stains that are compatible with our finishes, whether it is the oils and waxes or the urethanes. We always provide a sample of the stain if you request it to make sure that it is the shade that you want. Matching existing floors that are next to new installations is one of our services that we can help you with. We also can bleach certain woods too.

Finishing:
There are two types of finishes available: Penetrating finishes which penetrate into the wood to provide protection and surface finishes which protect the surface of the wood. Penetrating finishes are low sheen. For surface finishes we have low VOC waterborne and oil-modified urethanes in different sheens: satin, semi-gloss and gloss. Screen and Coat / Buff and Wax:
Surface finishes:
When floors start to show signs of wear, a screen and coat is sometimes the answer, without having to completely sand down to bare wood and refinish. We can give you an expert, honest answer about the condition of your floors and let you know if it is time to refinish, or if the floor just needs a screen and coating. Usually a screen and coat entails cleaning and buffing the top layer of the surface finish and applying a new coat of finish. This procedure will not take out deep scratches or stains on your floor.

Wax and oil finishes:
Cleaning, re-oiling or waxing is usually all that is needed to be done on a floor finished with a penetrating oil and wax finish.

Repairs:
Sometimes a repair is needed in one area of a wood floor and we have the experience to fix damaged floors. Replacing individually damaged boards is a service we provide along with lacing wood in new installations.
